Conflict Resolution - Parent 3
Continued Growth
Home
Your child is participating in classroom activities focused on learning how to resolve conflict. We would love for you to keep the discussion going at home!
Definition: Conflict resolution is the ability to assess a social situation that is not going well and develop strategies to improve current and future interactions. It involves two or more people working together to find a peaceful solution to a disagreement or problem.
Student Goal: The student will use conflict resolution strategies in an educational setting.
Here are just a few ideas to help get the conversation started:
- What is a conflict?
- What are some examples of when conflict may occur?
- How are conflicts resolved?
- What can happen if you don’t handle a conflict correctly?
- Allow your child to share any conflicts they have had with friends or family members. Discuss how the conflict could have been resolved in a positive way.
