Your student is participating in classroom activities helping them learn what is perseverance and how to practice that. We would love for you to keep the discussion going at home!

Definition: Perseverance means the ability to get through difficult tasks without giving up. It means to keep working on your plan to achieve a goal, even though it may be taking longer than you had wanted it to.

Here are just a few ideas to help get the conversation started:

  • What are some things that are hard for you to do?
  • When a task or activity is hard, do you give up and do something else?
  • What do heroes or other role models do when they face a task or activity that is hard for them?
  • What are some things that are hard for you to do?
  • What are some things you can do to show perseverance?
  • Why is perseverance an important trait to have?
  • o you think you can be successful in life without perseverance? Why or why not?
